SL Series Saltwater Fly Fishing Reels

The SL series is the most popular of the Shilton saltwater range with a track record of 20 years in the most remote and hostile environments targeting anything from bonefish and tigerfish to marlin and arapaima.

The robust design is crafted from solid 6082 T6 high grade bar stock aluminium and features a custom-processed cork drag with enclosed one-way plungers.

The range is available in sizes from the SL4 to SL8 for line weights 6 to 16. This is the reel of choice for many large guiding operations due to its simple, robust and “bulletproof” design.

The SL range is available in titanium, black, blue, turquoise, purple, red, gold or custom colour.

The SL6 is a small reel with big reel capabilities, perfect for targeting large fish on light tackle. This reel has a track record of 20 years in the most remote and hostile environments targeting powerful adversaries like salmon, tigerfish and bonefish.
